Notes:  Touted by Yamaha as a PM5D Expander, Remote Input Box, Stand-alone Mixing Unit, the DSP5D is a versatile digital mixing engine. Essentially a PM5DRH in a box without a control surface, it can be cascaded to a PM5D/PM5DRH to expand the number of inputs available to that console while being controlled by that surface. It can also be connected to the PM5D/PM5DRH via a Cat5 snake and behave as a remote stage box. For those who are bold, it can be controlled via the studio manager PC software (wireless, if you like) as a standalone mixer. Rumor has it that the LS9-32 will also be able to control it in the future.
